This site aims to inform, educate and advance each user’s knowledge of Lumineers and their practise, so that you are able to make knowledgeable decisions about whether to choose this advanced cosmetic dental treatment. There is a range of informative articles on Lumineers, of which you can feel free to browse before seeking the assistance of a qualified dental practitioner.

What are Lumineers?

Lumineers are similar to the traditional veneer but offer a much thinner solution. They are around 2mm thick and are made of a patented, strong Cerinate which can even resist micro-cracking and micro-leaking. Lumineers are also translucent and require no tooth reduction to fit them. Lumineers will leave your teeth looking much straighter and whiter and can last for up to 20 years.

What is the procedure?

The procedure for fitting Lumineers is extremely straightforward, non-invasive and painless. The Lumineer is fitted onto the tooth that requires treatment, often without the need to reduce the size of the natural tooth. Because there is usually no need to invasively prepare the tooth before fitting, the treatment is completely reversible, with the natural tooth beneath remaining strong and intact.

How much do they cost?

Lumineers tend to be a little more expensive than the traditional veneer, but this is due to the high-quality work involved and the bespoke crafting of each Lumineer. Also, Lumineers are made by only one laboratory that dedicates their work solely to the creation of high standard dental restorations. Depending on the level of expertise of your dentist, you can expect to pay anywhere between £500 and £800 per tooth.

If you interested in a perfect smile, without the need for invasive dental treatment, ask your dentist about Lumineers.
